It's been non-stop since getting back to Canberra

We spent the weekend up in the Blue Mountains with Dee and Tom (the Irish travellers whom you may have met at our wedding...).

What a gorgeous place! We spent the whole of Saturday walking around the mountains overshadowed by the three sisters! It was a lovely day too, not too warm and the wind wasn't so strong that it cut through you! (Apparently it is known to do that up there!)

We also tried out the new-ish Skyway, which is basically a cable car stung over the Falls between Echo Point and the opposite cliff where you take the cable car or railway (we did both in the afternoon - highly recommend the railway going down! Weeeeeeeeee!).

We stayed in Wentworth Falls at some very cute mudbrick cottages - Bunjaree Cottages - which are run on solar power and use rain water. There are four, two of which are for a couple. We stayed at Waratah which has 2 doubles and a bunk. We had the slow combustion going the wholoe weekend, more for the craic than anything else - it wasn't all that cold really.

We treated Dee and Tom to a meal of marinated kangaroo steaks - hmmmm! Cooked on a grill hotplate and served with mashed sweet potato, roast pumpkin and stir-fried bok choy in oyster sauce! A bit of Aussie fusion that we all know and love!

Goodbye to the Irish cousins, and to Tom and Ann who paid us a quick visit to Canberra just the other night, as they head back overseas (via Melbourne and NZ/USA respectively!). Our wedding had an extra-special touch with you there. Thank you from the depths of our boots!
